The Gehlke Bros. Football Picks competition entered uncharted territory this week that had little to do with the action on the field. For the first time since GBF took to the internet more than two decades ago, both Bros have embarked on vacation at the same time and to the same destination — Panama. For this and the next two weeks, the 2019 season plays out on the high seas as we sail south from the Bay Area, through the famous canal, and to our final destination in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Sunday afternoon was getaway day, so it was fortunate that all three of our Week 11 splits took place in the morning and were done by the time the Bros boarded the boat in San Francisco. The ship is presently cruising along the coast of Mexico, but the Junior Bro might be cruising to his next Surfy Trophy after winning two of the three contested games.

Sean was the beneficiary of two divisional games — the Colts’ 33-13 win over the visiting Jaguars, and Buffalo’s 37-20 triumph over Miami. The only thing preventing him from getting the sweep was the Jets, whose 34-17 win saw to it that the Redskins would have to wait at least another week to claim victory number two.

A week after everyone failed to reach .500 in the accuracy department, Sean and Ben each notched 11-3 records to pace the field. Glenn was third at 10-4. Everyone was up to the task of picking winners Dallas, Minnesota, Baltimore, New Orleans, San Francisco, Oakland, New England and Kansas City. No one correctly picked Cleveland or Atlanta.
