The last time one of the Gehlke Bros. completed a perfect week of picks was... never. In all the years we have been predicting the outcomes of NawFuL football games, the closest anyone has come to running the table is 15-1, which has happened at least a couple of times. For Sean, who has been waiting literally years for a big week to fall his way, he said Sunday morning that he wouldn't mind missing just a single game. And for a while in Week 11, it appeared he might do exactly that.

Down three games in the Surfy standings and desperate to tighten the race, the Junior Bro came up huge, winning five of six splits and picking up four games to take the overall lead — the first time since Week 6 of the 2014 season that he has gained so much ground. His big week began Thursday night when the Saints went marching in to Carolina and the revenge-minded Panthers defeated them, 23-20.

That set the tone for one of the worst weeks the Senior Bro has experienced since his run of success began in Week 12 of the 2013 season. It continued on Sunday morning, when the Bills turned back the struggling Bengals, 16-12, the Colts defeated the Titans for the 11th straight time, 24-17, and the Cardinals failed to rally late in their 30-24 loss to the Vikings. The results guaranteed Sean a winning week.

He hoped for more when the Rams hosted the Dolphins, and it appeared the winning streak would continue when the Rams led 10-0 late in the 4th quarter. But then L.A.'s stout defense imploded and Ryan Tannehill led Miami down the field twice for a pair of touchdowns in the final four minutes to steal the win. It was a momentary beam of sunlight on an otherwise dreary day for Glenn, who saw his lead he'd held since Week 3 evaporate.

Sean completed the comeback with the Sunday night game that saw the Packers lose their fourth straight in convincing fashion, dealt a 42-24 defeat at the hands of the Redskins. The Senior Bro apparently was the only one who didn't get the memo that Green Bay isn't very good this year, because he has picked them in each of those losses.

Sean's 12-2 record in yet another bye-shortened week was the best of the bunch, and it puts him up at this point in the season for just the first time since 2013, when he led by 4 games in what was ultimately a losing campaign. He is hoping for a different outcome in 2016. Glenn and Ben tied for the week's second best mark at 8-6, which leaves everyone just a game apart in the overall standings. We all correctly picked Pittsburgh, Detroit, the New York Giants, New England, Seattle and Oakland. Only Tampa Bay surprised us all with an upset of Kansas City at Arrowhead Stadium.
