The Colts probably won't lose all their remaining games. The Packers probably won't win all of theirs. But in week 10, at least, the haves and have-nots continued to play to their predictable levels. So it is that much more surprising that the Gehlke Bros failed to break .500 in their predictions.
There was plenty of action in the splits department, with Glenn and Sean notching six and each taking three. The Junior Bro got the early boost when Jacksonville sent Indy to its 10th straight Peyton Manning-less defeat, 17-3, amd Miami rose above visiting Washington, 20-9. But the Senior Bro came back to tie with Tennessee's 30-3 trashing of Carolina, and then St. Louis' 13-12 squeaker at Cleveland. In the late games, San Francisco's 27-20 win over the visiting N.Y. Giants gave Sean the temporary advantage before Chicago downed Detroit, 37-13, to help Glenn avoid losing any more ground in the season standings.
Sean still leads everybody, but that lead shrank to 3 games as Ben's 7-9 finish gave him the week's best record and sole possession of second place. Sean and Glenn tied at 6-10, easily the worst performance of the season. We collectively predicted the wins of Pittsburgh, Dallas and Green Bay. No one foresaw victories for Oakland, New Orleans, Denver, Arizona, Seattle or New England.
MORE THURSDAY NIGHT MAYHEM: Yep, we'll have picks early again this week. Thanks, schedule makers.
