Thankfully, Senior Bro comes home
A great lineup of football wasn't all we had to be thankful for in Week 12, as we welcomed home the Senior Bro following nearly four weeks in the hospital with pneumonia. He's feeling better, but the task of updating the past four weekends of the Gehlke Bros. Football website still awaits him. We aren't exactly sure of the standings right now, pending recovery of data for Week 9, but we do know that since Week 7, Glenn surged from two games back into the lead, which may be three or four games.
The week turned out to be a wash for Bros Junior and Senior, as Glenn captured a split of the Giants-Broncos game on Thanksgiving Day along with wins by the Jets and Ravens on Sunday, but Sean, who sat in the stands to witness the 49ers' dominance of the Jaguars on Sunday, countered with victories by Seattle, San Francisco and New Orleans on Monday night. It was a good week to be at home, as 13 of the host teams won. Both the Colts and Saints ran their records to 11-0. Indy had to come from behind in its game at Houston, and New Orleans made a Hurricane Katrina-sized wreck of Tom Brady and the Patriots, who never looked in sync all evening. Glenn and Sean tied for the week's best record at 12-4, while Ben finished a close 11-5. We all correctly predicted wins by Green Bay, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Indianapolis and San Diego. There were no games in which we all guessed incorrectly. |
