Sean takes the lead on the road
With the Bros all hitting the road for a weekend of vacations, it seemed only appropriate that a bunch of road teams should carry the day in Week 5 of our NawFuL prognostications. It certainly would have made a good segue into the week's recap, but it was a mostly mixed bag with the roadies taking just half of the 14 games. Fortunately for the Junior Bro, he won the games that counted most and recaptured the lead in the Gehlke Bros. Football season standings.
Sean might have been having a fun time away from San Jose, but he enjoyed all the comforts of home in the Redskins' pasting of the Lions in the nation's capital, and with the Giants taking it to the Jets in the battle of East Rutherford, N.J. Those two games were the only two he split with big brother Glenn in an otherwise agreeable week. Sean won the week with a decent 10-4 mark, Glenn was second at 8-6, and Ben saw himself drift further from the leaders with a 6-8 finish. We all correctly predicted wins by Jacksonville, Pittsburg, Indianapolis and Baltimore. We all failed with our picks of New Orleans, Denver and Green Bay. |
