Perfection reserved for the mighty (and meek) few

Perfection is a pretty hard thing to achieve in life. That is especially true when it comes to predicting football scores. In the NawFuL, just when we think we've figured out what a team will do in a given week, it does exactly the opposite just to tick you off. But there was a time on Sunday during Week 3 when perfection seemed a possibility for the Senior Bro. Buoyed by a sweep of the nine morning games — won largely by home teams — things were looking good for that elusive 16-0 until Jacksonville upset Denver. Then all the Bros got a quick reality check as many of the afternoon favorites fell.

In the end, Glenn managed to post a 12-4 record, winning the one game that counted in head-to-head competition with Sean: Kansas City's 13-10 victory over visiting Minnesota. That pulled Glenn back even with the Junior Bro, who managed an 11-5 mark. Ben, meanwhile, finished at 7-9.

There was a lot of agreement in our predictions. We all correctly predicted winners Indianapolis, the New York Jets, Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Seattle and Tennessee. However, we were all mistaken in picking Cleveland, Denver, Washington and Chicago.

There are now five NawFuL teams that are 3-0: New England, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Dallas and Green Bay. Stupor Bore preview? How 'bout New England and Green Bay? Naw, didn't think so.

There are also five teams that have yet to win: Buffalo, Miami, Atlanta, New Orleans and St. Louis. Is there any significance to the fact that three of the undefeateds are in the AFC while three of the winless are in the NFC? Some things just never change.
