Week 5 — Results

Season update: Sean leads by 4

After three straight weeks of giving up ground, the Senior Bro dug out a bit in Week 5 (or Week 4 for all you NawFuL purists). Thanks to Baltimore's returning to Super Bowl form in manhandling Tennessee 26-7, and to Chicago's convincing 31-3 road win over Atlanta, Glenn cut a game off Sean's season lead. The Junior Bro got a good performance from the 49ers in their 24-14 win over Carolina and former coach George Seifert to save a sweep. (Man, if Seifert can't even beat his old team anymore he doesn't have a prayer come January.)

Even though Glenn won the week's splits, it was Ben who captured the best record with a 12-3 showing. Glenn finished 11-4 while Sean was 10-5. We all had no problem correctly predicting the wins of Pittsburg, New Orleans, Miami, both New Yorks, Denver, Oakland and St. Louis, which shut out the pathetic Lions in front of a Monday night TV audience. There were no games that fooled all three of us, which is a rare occurrence in the Gehlke Bros. Football competition. Perhaps we are ready for Vegas.
