There's some serious head scratching taking place at Senior Bro headquarters this week following Sunday's pathetic picks performance. Well, just to put it in perspective, 10-5 normally wouldn't be considered a bad week -- EXCEPT when your competition turns in a sizzling 14-1(!!!) mark, as Sean did.
Let's see where Glenn went wrong, or more to the point, where Sean went right. First of all, Junior Bro solved the NFC Central puzzle, correcly picking Green Bay's win over Chicago and Minnesota's ruthless drubbing of Tennessee. Then he capitalized on the "bad teams rule" which says that you never pick a team that hails from a city or state starting with the letter "A". Sean correctly avoided Atlanta and Arizona, wrapping up a four-game early Christmas present in the process. With four weeks remaining in the season it's going to take a very solid effort on Glenn's part to turn this thing around.
For the week, what more needs to be said about 14-1? No Bro has ever picked a perfect week, but Sean came pretty danged close, missing only on Dallas's upset of the Giants. Glenn and Ben, meanwhile, both prognosticated their way to 10-5. But heck, even that is better than Detroit, which managerd a come-from-ahead loss to Tampa Bay to preserve its perfect O-fer season. We all correctly guessed the wins of New England, Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Philly, Oakland, Pittsburgh, Denver and Miami. We were fooled badly by Dallas -- but not as bad as those poor Cowboys fans who still think their team has a legit shot at the postseason. Hah!
