Never in the history of the Gehlke Bros. picks competition at least in recent history have the Bros.' records been so close this far into the season. Neither Bro has led (or trailed) by more than two games. Since Week 5 it's been all tied up. The Bros. traded splits again in Week 7, with Cincinnati stumbling badly in Tennessee to aid Sean's cause, and then New York drubbing Phoenix to save Glenn's weekend.
Just when it seemed like the home teams were finally going to pull a rare sweep, the Patriots spoiled things by choking on their own turf against the Jets on Monday night. The 49ers tried to ruin things on Sunday, narrowly stealing an undeserved victory from the Colts. Even the mighty Bears won at home for a change. What gives?
For the records, Glenn and Sean finished a decent 8-5. Benji notched a 7-6 mark for the weekend, including upsets in Detroit's, Chicago's and Buffalo's victories. We all got blitzed by the New England loss, but that's still better than the woeful Washington Redskins who have now been blitzed seven times in seven weeks on the scoreboard.
