Season update: All tied up

OK, fun's fun, but now ... are you ready for some FOOTBALL?! Glenn finally found a way to break the splittsville curse in Week 5 by taking three of four splits to even the Gehlke Bros. picks season. The stumbling, bumbling Raiders finally managed to win a close game against the Cardinals, while the bad news Bears did the same against the Lions. The Dolphins crashed and burned up in the Meadowlands, but the Cowboys came to the rescue with a decisive road victory against the -- say it with me now -- WINLESS Redskins.

And how about them 49ers, eh? Twenty-two league-record-tying penalties en-route to embarrassment in Buffalo. And then there was the Packers' first loss at home since Sept. 3, 1995. The Vikings are (ugh!) 5-0?! The Seattle-Kansas City game is delayed an hour by torrential rains? What gives? Halloween doesn't arrive until Week 9. Must be the full moon.

Enough already! Now, on to the records... Glenn went a barely respectable 8-4, while Sean was 6-6. Benji notched a 5-7 record in a who-woulda-thunk-it sort of week. In addition to missing the boat on the Buffalo debacle, no one correctly predicted Indianapolis' victory over San Diego, nor Green Bay's loss to the (yikes!) Vikes.
