Much like the bulls running loose on Wall Street these days, so too have Glenn's fortunes in the Gehlke Bros. football competition. Bolstered by victories in three of four split games, Glenn extended his lead over Sean in Week 10 by two games. Philadelphia notched a rare victory at home over Detroit, while the Jets ended their streak of futility against the Bills to help Glenn's cause. Sean got help Sunday from the Seahawks, who trashed Kansas City in the Kingdome.
For the first time this season the splits carried over into the Monday night game. Pittsburg, which had led 27-3 midway through the fourth quarter, tried its darnedest to let Green Bay back into the game before hanging on for a 27-20 win to give Glenn a big victory.
For the week, Glenn went 10-5 while Benji and Sean tied at 8-7. We all picked Miami's, Jacksonville's and Minnesota's wins, but no one had Atlanta shocking New England. (What the heck happened there?) The pathetic 49ers narrowly escaped with yet another win they didn't deserve, this time at home against Carolina. Denver remains the only unbeaten team at 9-0; Ryan Leaf wasn't about to change that.
